The View from the Finish Line by Kristy Rose
When we're just starting out, the end seems so far away. And before you know it, you're picking pictures for the graduation slideshow wondering how you got here. Homeschooling will change your life. The end brings fresh perspective on where you've been and what got you there. We'll laugh. We'll cry. We'll get a taste of what it feels like to make it to the end of the road. Kristy will complete her homeschooling adventure this May when her youngest graduates from high school.
Workshops
Session 1: 10am - 10:30am
Homeschool 101 presented by Suandra Hooker
Thinking about homeschooling or just getting started? This workshop is for you and will cover the basics like the law, requirements, where to start, etc. Suandra is not only a homeschooling mom of four, she also was homeschooled in ND herself!

Homeschool 201 presented by Melissa Ingram
You're not going to homeschool high school, are you?! You may be thinking "how can I do this?" Trust us, you can! This workshop will introduce you to the requirements, credit calculating, record-keeping and the making of the infamous transcript. Melissa has graduated one child from her homeschool who is now attending college and her youngest is in 11th grade.

Session 2: 11am - 11:30am

Meeting Them Where They Are by Ginger Thomas
Not every kid learns at the same pace; some are a little faster and others a little slower. The important thing is to meet them where they are. This workshop will empower you to not feel behind while personalizing your child's education and will also touch on special needs home education. Ginger has experience with brain integration therapy, right-brain learners, stubborn learners and processing disorders.

What's Your Why by Kristy Rose
Everyone ends up somewhere, but some of us get there on purpose. Knowing why you're homeschooling is more than just listing reasons why other types of education didn't work for you. It's charting a course and personalizing education with the end goal in mind. This workshop will help you end up where you want to go. Kristy has one graduate who also completed college and will graduate her youngest this May.

Session 3: 12:30pm - 1pm

Prepare to Launch with Kathy Miiller
Launching our kids into adulthood is part of the adventure of home education. How we prepare them -- and ourselves -- for the launch is a process that starts before 12th grade and even before 9th grade. This workshop will get you thinking about "what comes next" when your child graduates and how to best prepare them for their unique future. Kathy has graduated 3 students -- 2 of whom have finished college! -- and has twins in their junior year of high school.

Homeschooling with Littles Underfoot with Tara Kranz
Getting through the homeschool day can be hard when you're being pulled in multiple directions by multiple ages. It's a lot like juggling balls or spinning plates, but with the right perspective and some good resources, you can be successful! Tara is an upbeat, fun homeschooling mom of 6 kids under 10 years old.

Session 4: 1:30pm - 2pm
Finding Your People with Kara Speidel
In the last ten years, home education has exploded in popularity. There are so many ways to homeschool, so many reasons to homeschool that it can be hard to find where you fit. But no one has to walk this road alone! This workshop will show you some ways to "find your tribe" and inspire you to connect with or create community. Kara is a homeschooling mom of two, co-op participant and leader of the local Wild + Free group.
Q&A with Dads and Grads with Jeff Ingram, Alexander Kranz, & Adam Rose
We didn't forget about these two important groups! Come ask the homeschooling dads your burning questions and hear from homeschool grads about their experiences before and after graduation. Jeff is a homeschooling dad. Adam is a homeschool grad. Alexander is both!
