Homeschool Moms Retreat
.png)
Sometimes mom needs a week-end away to take a breath, unwind, and refocus before the next school year begins.
Our annual homeschool retreat is purposefully designed with lots of free time so you can nap, journal, plan, pray, or socialize. Some bring their planners, some their favorite book and others a craft project. It's totally up to you.
We provide the encouragement, fun, food and refreshment that you're craving. It's a great way to begin the next school year.

*Sessions:
Teach Me to Abide- Homeschooling is not a sprint. It's not a race. It is a practice and a rhythm. It is easy to get caught up in striving for better academics, more extras, higher accomplishments. But the better way is to abide. To set your vision and rest in its purpose.
Stepping Softly into Transition - Nothing in life stays the same for very long, including homeschooling. The years between Kindergarten and 12th grade move fast and come in cycles, in waves. We can get stuck in one phase, unwilling to move forward because transition is scary. But it doesn't have to be.
A couple notes about meals, bedding and more:
You may specify any food allergies or intolerances you have upon registration and we will do our best to accommodate them. We offer enough choices at each meal/snack so everyone is considered.
The bedrooms are rustic and charming with new, comfy mattresses. You will need to bring bedding/sleeping bag and a pillow. There are a handful of private rooms with double beds as well as three dorm rooms. You may reserve a private room at registration or choose your own bed in the dorm upon arrival. Both the dorm rooms and the private rooms have windows that open and fans. A wonderful breeze blows through the lodge at night.
If you live in the area and will be sleeping at home, you may choose the Day Only rate.
The dining hall, where a lot of our activities take place, is air conditioned. The tabernacle, a wonderful peaceful place to sit, is more than 100 years old and when the windows/doors are opened, it too has a wonderful breeze through it.
The retreat is an opportunity for all moms to get away from it all and leave mom responsibilities at home. As such, we are unable to welcome children to the retreat.
The exception is nursing infants who are not yet walking. There is no childcare of any
kind available the retreat.
Abide & Become:

Location
This year the retreat will be held at Prairie Bible Camp in Lehr, ND. Surrounded by nature, the camp is about 45 miles south of Medina, ND and the home of the 100-year-old Lehr Tabernacle. The grounds are shaded and tranquil, the perfect spot to get away from it all.
